Tamworth Castle

This impressive Norman castle has been standing for over a thousand years, and is well worth a visit. As one of the most well preserved motte-and-bailey castles in the UK, this castle gives visitors a chance to imagine how life was like in the distant past.

The castle also overlooks the mouth of the River Anker. So if you’re on a romantic getaway with your significant other, or even if you have the whole family with you, we recommend that you pack a picnic, and enjoy this castle and its grounds fully. Snowdome

The Snowdome is the oldest indoor ski slope in the UK, and one of the best. With a 170m run as well as some beginner and child-friendly slopes, the Snowdome is great fun for the whole family.

At the Snowdome you can also find ice skating, as well as individual or group classes. It’s great fun to take a snowboarding class with your family. Also, depending on the time of year that you’re visiting, you may find some fun events on the go, like Winter Wonderland, and Santa’s Show. Drayton Manor Theme Park

If you’ve got the little ones with you, this theme park is a must. The 180 acre theme park has a ton of different rides and attractions, as well as a zoo, where you and the kids can experience the animals of the world.

If your kids are fans of Thomas the Tank Engine, they’ll love the themed rides in Thomas Land. The park also hosts interactive shows to entertain the whole family.

Tip: While there are activities and thrill rides for all ages, this is a family theme park, and is best suited for families with children and teenagers.
