5 Things to do in Warwickshire this Autumn

Autumn is that time of year that your activity is completely dictated by the weather - some days it’s a beautiful clear sky, and others it just won’t stop raining! Because of this, it’s always good to have a wide selection of activities to do in Warwickshire. Find out below some of the indoor and outdoor activities that you can do in Warwickshire.

Get in a round of Golf

Before the leaves start to fall from the trees, why not get yourself immersed in the outdoors and take in a round of Golf. It’s a relaxing way to start or end the weekend, all while catching up with friends and work colleagues.

But don’t just pick any old Golf course. You need one that matches your style, and is also renowned as one of the world’s best Golf courses, and Nailcote Hall can offer you 9 holes of pure bliss.

And while you’re focusing on your backswing, you can get your children involved with expert Golf tuition. You’ll have them knowing the difference between a Sand wedge and a Putter in no time, and a swing to compete with yours!

Have an Autumn Wedding

Trying to think of a good time to get married but can’t seem to pick between the seasons? Spring’s sporadic with the weather, Summer might be too hot and Winter is too cold - so Autumn seems like the good time.

Imagine being surrounded by orange leaves and an early sunset (perfect for photos), and you know that Autumn is a great time to get married. Another great reason to get married at the latter part of the year is that it’s off-peak season, meaning some savings back in your pocket to be spent on the more important things (like the dress).

There are many, many more reasons to get married in September, October and November, but don’t forget that Nailcote Hall has even more special offers available around this time, and at the moment we’re offering our Winter Wonderland package of only £3,500.00 for late dates in November. With beautiful grounds for photographs, and a giant wedding marquee for all your guests, it’s the perfect wedding destination.

Travel Back to the ‘80s

‘Come on Eileen! I wanna dance with somebody!’ are not just a call for you to get up on the dancefloor. With the nights getting longer and earlier, it means the party can start early - and there ain’t no party like an ‘80s party!

On the 22nd September, it will definitely be ‘in the air tonight’, with our Back to the ‘80s party, with the full 80s experience. You’ll be able to travel in time and revisit some of your favourite tunes from the 1980s. You won’t be ‘under pressure’ for the whole night, as you’ll have 3 courses of food and entertainment for the whole evening.

Prices are  £39.50 per person, but discounts are available if booking for tables of 10 or more. So don’t delay, book your tickets now and you’ll be dancing ‘all night long!’

Enjoy Afternoon Tea in Style

Need something a little calmer this Autumn, and the opportunity to catch up with old friends with a cosy cup of tea? Then find yourself a serene and elegant Afternoon Tea. Packed full with dainty cakes and sandwiches, it’s a good way to spend a rainy day.

You can shop around for the best Afternoon Tea in town, or you can come straight to Nailcote Hall, who offer more than just cakes and chat. This ‘40s/50s themed event gives you the chance to immerse yourself in the era, enjoy the sounds of the Vintage Duo and enjoy some scrumptious cakes.

Our regular Afternoon Teas take place Monday to Friday, and our special Vintage Afternoon Tea takes place on the 30th September, with tickets costing £25.00. Don’t miss your chance to have a seat at the table and book a place today.

Raise Money for Charity

Looking to the latter end of Autumn, the season of giving is almost upon us, and what better way to get in the giving spirit than with a Ball. Not only will you be having an amazing time, but you’ll be helping to raise lots of money for some really worthy causes - and we’re lucky enough to be hosting two amazing events this Autumn.

On the 6th October, you can dance the night away and help raise money for Breast Cancer medical equipment at the “Pink Ball in the Hall”. It’s a black/pink tie affair, so make sure you shake off your tuxedo and ball gowns for this special event. You can reserve your space here for just £49.50, including a 3-course meal and entertainment from Take@That, Take That’s no.1 tribute band.

Alternatively you can join us and support Shelter, a charity raising money for those living on the streets, and enjoy a night of entertainment, food and a charity auction. You’ll be helping to raise awareness and money for those who struggle with bad housing or homelessness. Places are still available for £40.00, so make sure you reserve your place today.

So whether you’re looking for something to do in September, October or November, make sure you include Nailcote Hall in your plans. Take a look at our diary now and pencil yourself in for one of our events this Autumn.
