Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship Celebrates 80th Anniversary with Major Prize Fund Increase for 2013!

An incredible prize fund of £100,000 is on offer to professionals competing in the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote Hall this year.

As Europe’s most prestigious Par 3 tournament celebrates its 80th anniversary, organisers Champions (UK) plc, event hosts Nailcote Hall and sponsors Farmfoods continue to take the tournament to a new level each year. This year, by increasing the prize fund to £100,000, they have doubled the amount on offer to competitors in this hugely popular tournament.

Already one of the most lucrative golf events on the UK circuit, the last few years have seen the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship attract a truly world class field of major winners, Ryder Cup heroes and European Tour stars, including double major champion and Ryder Cup legend Tony Jacklin CBE, current Race 2 Dubai leader Scott Jamieson, former Masters champion Ian Woosnam OBE, Ryder Cup legend Brian Barnes, current Senior Tour star Gary Wolstenholme MBE, former World Cup winner Marc Warren, Champions Tour star Mark Mouland, European Tour stars Graeme Storm, Oliver Fisher, Gary Boyd and Robert Rock, among many more.

Golfing legend Tony Jacklin CBE, will once again host the event, which takes place from the 6th-9th August this year. Taking place either side of the Championship are two fantastic Celeb-Am days that regularly attract some of the country’s biggest celebrities including Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton, Len Goodman, Peter Shilton OBE, Peter Schmeichel, Jasper Carrot, Johnny Herbert and William Roache MBE.

Televised on Sky Sports and Challenge TV and covered extensively in national media including The Daily Telegraph, Talk Sport and Golf Monthly, the championship provides great sporting entertainment for spectators and home viewers alike.
